And the answer is…
C) Kevin Conroy!
Conroy has voiced the Dark Knight in animated TV shows and flims for 17 years, longer than all other Batman actors combined!
You’ve heard him portray Batman in all the DC animated movies and shows, including Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Justice League, (the only exceptions are The Batman and Batman: The Brave and the Bold). Recently, Conroy reprised his role in the Superman/Batman: Public Enemies movie.
Conroy takes the role of Batman seriously; like few other voice actors, he intentionally uses a different voice for Bruce Wayne than for Batman. He also changes his voice for the older Bruce Wayne in Batman Beyond–to see this at its best, watch the Justice League Unlimited episode The Once and Future Thing part 2, in which Conroy portrays both young and old Bruce in the same episode. Conroy brings a unique authoritative presence to the character that captures not only Bruce’s cunning and intellect, but also his tragic past and dedication as Batman.
Below is one of my favorite YouTube videos from ComiCon, in which Mark Hamill does his infamous Joker laugh, followed by Conroy’s “I am vengeance. I am the night. I am Batman!”
I also would like to share this great link from Legions of Gotham, a page from Behind the Voice Actors that compares all of the voice actors for Batman over the years. Will Friedle probably shouldn’t be on this list, as he portrays Terry McGinnis and not Bruce Wayne. Regardless, Kevin Conroy is still the best, hands down, I’m incredibly biased but this is my blog so the end.
